about two years ago driving up highway one from santa cruz to san francisco i saw many people picking strawberries at some strawberry fields on the side of the highway. since then i have always wanted to go and pick strawberries. a few weeks before i went to michigan my sister texted me that we could pick strawberries and cherries while i was visiting her. i was ecstatic.
we went to blake's farm and we picked and picked strawberries. as we were leaving little blake said to himself "dont pick it. dont pick it. just keep walking. fine. only one. only pick one more." listening to him was so freaking cute. i love that kid.
after we were done to took all of our strawberries and cherries home and made some freezer jam and a strawberry rhubarb pie. and Mmmm they were good.
