dont be jealous.

last week i had a few episodes while biking with my brother and dad, two separate occasions and then running my marathon this last saturday. i got sudden tightness in my chest, i could feel the pounding of my heart in my throat and had a difficult time catching my breathe. this usually happens to my every so often in the winter time with my asthma. given that both three times that is happened, it was nice outside and the fact that it happen the only three times that i worked out last week. made me a little worried. i mentioned it to my mother this last sunday and now i get to wear one of these guys for 24 hours. hoping that they can rule out heart problems and that it is 100% asthma. im hoping its asthma. but at the same time i wish it was nothing. i truly hate living with this respiratory problem and it only will get worse as i get older. this isnt my chest and this is shows no where near the amount of tape that is currently on my chest. all i want to do is rip it off. but not till this time tomorrow after i have had a nice, long, exerting run or bike ride to get my whatever is wrong with me going. lets pray that its nothing heart.

embarrassing

my senior year of high school I was a varsity cheerleader. we danced. we did stunts. it was 8 girls and 8 boys. we all were close friends. so close that my most embarrassing moment was with the 15 other cheerleaders in a room. not only was it us in this room the whole football team was there as well. with that, begins my most embarrassing moment. it was 8th period cheer class. this was around december when we were getting ready for nationals in anaheim. so we practice out routine down in the wrestling room that is right next door to the weight room. note the football players have weight conditioning 8th period so they are right next door. just before we warmed up the cheer girls changed into our clothes in a near by locker room. that day i decided to just wear a t-shirt and my tank top that had the bra already in it. that was the kind of bra i wore in high school. no sports bra. no any other kind of bra on. after we were done changing we went out to the wrestling room and started to warm up. towards the end of our warm up the football boys came into the other half of the wrestling room to do there warmups. after we warmed up and stretched  we decided to practice our stunts. eventually we got to my stunt. a straight up to extension lib. i had my balance until i had to stretch out my leg in a lib to put on someones back. i started shaking. mind you the football boys are still in the room stretching. then all of a sudden i feel out of my stunt. the next moment im on the ground with two of my bases heads. boy heads six inches from by chest, staring right at my chest with me feeling a slight breeze to that very spot that they were looking at. yes i flashed my whole entire squad. oh but wait. i not only flashed my squad but all of the football boys and there coached. good times.

whats your most embarrassing story.

two weeks ago today, wilson. my little brother was suppose to enter the MTC. three and half weeks ago, we got word that his time in the MTC was going to be shortened from nine weeks to six. they could not send his group of missionaries to the philippines early because of visas and that jazz. so they are taking the three weeks off at the beginning, hence he is still with us. for our family, especially my mother is was like tearing off a bandage with your flesh and replacing it with another one just be ripped of again. i on the other am sad that hes going. but im excited for him. this could be rude but im more excited to see my sister this week for only two days. since my older brother left on his mission in the summer of 2000 its hasnt been the six of us since. yeah my sister comes up to visit but she brings the boys, so its like the six us together again but its not really "the six" of us. so i am very excited for this weekend. i know it will go quickly. and before i know it. like when nathan left on his mission i will be having to get used to a new adjustment. im not going to have someone there who understands me, im not going to be getting the best hugs (sorry mom), im not going to have that someone that stands up for me and helps me defend myself. im not going to have someone keep me updated on music. things that i will have to get used to not for the next two years, but for the rest of my life...

hoarder?

so today i was trying to two things. one was a ring. the other was a tag. i had a very very hard time finding this two items. i knew that i had them. somewhere. so i literally tore my room apart. i tore my storage stuff apart. as i was looking for these two things that i eventually found. i realized that i am somewhat a hoarder. so this week i am doing my spring cleaning a little early. on my days off this week i will be going through my storage. my closet. my everything. and will be getting rid of the junk that i no longer need. and hopefully it will stay like that. for awhile at least. i dont watch hoarders but i have heard about it. and i really dont need to be put in that category. heaven forbids im labeled with that.

side note.

i would just like to say this. ever since the news broke out yesterday about what happened to two sweet, cute looking boys my heart has been aching. i have an extra soft spot for kids. who doesnt right? well apparently there dad does not. i know that they are with their mother and that they are smiling from ear to ear to be with her and in the presence of our heavenly father. and for there father josh powell. i would like to say that i hope he is rotting hell but that isnt very christ like is it? because i know that he will eventually be forgiven. we all have to forgive those who have caused harm to us. because he, our heavenly father will forgive those who have sinned. but i do hope that he will suffer and deal with more pain then he ever would have in this life.

may susan and her two boys rest in peace

on that note. i hope you all had a wonderful monday. and that your week well be amazing.

january update

so i have been gone for awhile. don't you all worry i will be posting this weeks monday munchies. the last few weeks feels like a blur. first off i would like to say. happy first day of february. Im not a big fan of january. i will never have my wedding day or any kids in january. i think, especially in utah though not this year, it is a depressing month. any who. this last month has been somewhat nice. i have started my training for my marathon coming up in may and my asthma hasn't been too bad. i was put on some lovely acne medicine. i thought i was blessed in high school with no acne. well that wasn't the case. i guess you can say i am "late bloomer" i wish i could say that with my height. but i am okay with being 5'3 oh wait. 5'3" and 1/3 yep you have to count that little bit. i was told that when i went to see my pulmonologist. where i racked up a nice medical bill. oh the joys of being independent and paying your own bills. stressful at times. but nice. now if you know me well i love lululemon and i found out that we are getting our very own store in trolley square. i love it. my wallet not so much. i guess i will be picking up extra shifts at the hospital so i can look cute while running 26 miles this running season. now last but not least. i have mentioned in previous posts that my little brother is leaving on a mission. today would have been the day where i would be balling my eyes with him entering into the MTC. but today. I'm not. about two weeks ago my mother called me  up to tell me that the group of brothers and sister entering the MTC to go to the Philippines on the 1st of february will be now entering on february 22nd. so i will enjoying my time with wilson for an additional 3 weeks. one of the best news ever considering i starting crying about him while making cookies the other day. pathetic i know. but i love him and will miss him dearly. well there is you update of the month of january. not much. I'm sure i forgot many things. but this month i will be better. i promise.

heres to february. a warmer month. longer days. and maybe less smog in the air.

oh an did i forget. I'm thinking of doing a half iron man. craziness.

spiritual thought

i cant believe another christmas is just around the corner. 3 days away to be exact. and this week has got me thinking about the true meaning of christmas. yes i will admit its great to receive things and i think this is the first year that i truly dont know what to ask for, so christmas morning shall be fun to see what my parents came up with. but i want to talk about the true meaning of christmas, being grateful for what we have, celebrating our saviors birth. i saw a video on Jimmy Kimmel where parents were to video tape their kids opening a christmas present early, something that was not on their christmas list. (ie battery, onion, half eaten sandwich) and every single kid was upset. i can understand the babies and toddlers crying but the older ones. come on. i will admit it was funny to watch but then i was embarrassed too. Then just yesterday my home teachers came over to visit and talked about how fun it is to think of what to buy, then buying the presents for our loved ones, then watching them open it. He then asked me one question. What gift are you giving our savior? that got me thinking, for a second i thought to myself nothing. absolutely nothing. then i realized that i was wrong. our heavenly father wants us to return to him, right. and i know that he has worried about me for quite some time, especially when i was lead astray off the straight and narrow path.. i more was lost deep deep into the woods. and the middle of last year (2010), i started finding my way back. over the last few years i would make my way back but eventually would get lost again. but this year was different. I stayed true and now i have been through his house that is now my safe haven. I would have never thought i would be where i am today. its all because of him. he gave me the family that i have, the friends that i have made an impact on my life. i know this sounds like a gift to myself. but it really is a gift to him. like i mentioned before he wants all of his children including me to be happy and return to him. i will continue my gift to him, i love my savior and i will do my best to return to him. I know as this year comes to an end and a new one begins with all my new trials that he will ALWAYS be by my side no matter what happens from here on out.

so my question to you is
what are you giving to christ our savior for christmas this year?

I hope you all have a
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

my day

Today is kind of bittersweet day. I work up and got ready to go to work, my last day in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. This place is very hard to leave, i have made great friends and i get to do some pretty cool things. But what comes with those rad friends and cool things i get STRESSED. i have never been so stressed in my life and it just got to the point that my job was less fun. Also i hated working on sundays, i just felt like sundays were less spiritual because i wasnt at work and i wasnt with my family. I will miss working with many many people, some of them i wont even miss. But its not goodbye, i will be back and help out when there is a need here and there. My new job post cath lab recover, is ideal. no weekends, no holidays, and i have my 12 hour shifts back. LOVE. and the people are FABulous! Now thats not the only things that makes this day a bittersweet day. Today i officially moved out of my house in south jordan and closer to home in salt lake. a lot closer. im nervous with the move, but im excited to be closer to everything and i will actually be in my ward. So heres to an end of a bittersweet day and the beginning of many excited, adventurous days!
