two days after wilson left on his mission. i watched a family kids while the parents went to hawaii. i love theirs i have watched them since the oldest was born but this time was a whole new experience for me. i have never watch anyones kids over night let alone for a whole week. there were 4 kids. eleven. ten. five. and four. we played on the weekend. went ice skating, to the mall, ate some delishes cupcakes from here, odered pizza and watched a movie. sunday we went to church and to my parents house for dinner. the rest of the week i was your typical mom driving a minivan with four kids. woke up, made breakfast, made there lunches, took them to school, picked them up from school, helped them with homework, cleaned, laundry, take them to practice, make dinner, clean up dinner, make dessert, clean up dessert, get ready for bed, say a family prayer, tuck them into bed, read the littler one a story and said good night. i was zonked when it was time for me to go to bed. this was everyday so come friday when i had to go back to work, i was dead tired. dead. not only did i get that mom experience oh and i did forget to mention. i drove the typical mom vechile. yep. a minivan. but back to my other mom experience while watching these kids. i went to go pick up the five year old from kindergarten and went to turn the key to start the engine... it wouldnt start. battery dead? something, i dont know but my older brother came to the rescue and we loaded up in his car and left the minivan at the school. eventually the minivan worked again, thats why i have no clue why it didnt start up earlier, but whatever. that was fun, but wait it gets even better. thursday night, ONE hour before the parent came home while i was straightening up the house the five year old gets launched into the rocking chair by their older sibling and hits it head first giving himself a bloody nose, lacerated lip, and his two front teeth knocked out from the root. ouchy. i have never heard a child scream like that in my life. im surprised he didnt have a spinal injury or anything worse because i just saw him fly and he hit that chair pretty hard. i knew exactly what to do but that scream/crying just scared me. little kids cant tell you in great detail whats wrong like adults do so i was afraid things were worse then what they really were given what i saw. but the little trooper ended up being okay and got a very very nice visit from the tooth fairy. and here i thought a few hours before this happened, man no accidents. this is awesome. boom. i jinxed myself. i have to tell you though. it still makes me want to be a mom and i would still watch these kids no matter what. i love them. they are my favorite. that is after my own nephews. no one is cuter then porter, tyler, blake and april 1st baby.
