californication.

after i got home from michigan from visiting my sister and her kids. two days later i was on the road to california to spend the 4th of july with the aunt and uncle and their family at there beach house in santa cruz. back in march my parents were invited to go, but my mom wasn't able to get the time off. so my aunt julie invited me. almost every 4th of july we are in santa cruz celebrating. i have been to santa cruz so often it feels like home every time i go. on july 3rd, my two cousins andrea, ryan and ryans fiancé and i drove the 12 hours and finally arrived at 1am. the next day i woke up and went for a run down to capitola. i came back and we all got ready and started to celebrate with breakfast, a parade and most importantly a BBQ. we ate, we mingled. i got to the point where i needed to go on a bike and a walk because i was eating so much food. once it got dark. my uncle and my two cousins paige and andrea and i went down to the beach to have a bonfire, watch some fireworks and roast some s'mores. once the fire burned out we went back to the house to light off some of our own fireworks. i love spending my favorite holiday at my favorite place. the rest of the trip we all hangout at the beach, went shopping, went out on the cruisers, ate more food, bonfires, played games, the giant dipper at the boardwalk , went on hike through the redwoods, and just enjoyed each others company. i love santa cruz. i can't wait for next year. hopefully. and wilson will be with us. wow. cant wait.
