nyc: part one

9:40pm wednesday night off to the airport. long red eye to JKF airport. tried to avoid my parents on the flight. (yes i was on the same flight as my parents and wilson). Landed, got our luggage and headed to where we get a taxi. wait in line. say hello to the parentals. Hopped into a hot, stinky cab. Hardly could understand what he was saying and then OFF he went. I totally forgot how crazy New York cab drivers are, felt like i was on a roller coaster. I was hot a nausea's waiting for this ride to be over. Finally saw the skyscrapers. crossed the east river and finally was at our hotel. checked our bags in, given that we couldnt check in. walked up to Rockefeller center. saw the today show. stopped at magnolias bakery to get breakfast. headed up to times square. snapped some pictures. then onto the subway we went to low Manhattan to battery park. looked at the statue of liberty. saw the sphere from world trade center site. headed towards wall street. stopped to take pictures with the merrill lynch bull. went through the trinity church and turned right down to wall street. took some more picture. decided to walk up a little more to ground zero. walked all the way around the block to the east side to see the part they are done with and will dedicate on September 11th. walked over to the hudson river. walked all the way back to the fire station right across from the site to see the gold plaque. Decided to head up to Canal street. got to canal street and everyone under there breath is asking you if you want a "louis, chanel, gucci, prada, etc. purse" told a man about a Louis vuitton purse. followed him everywhere, rather scary and very secretive.  finally he showed me my purse. purchased. said our good byes to canal street. got back on the subway to times square to wait in line to discounted tickets. while waiting in line, with millions of people around me, my parent walk bye. CRAZY. what are the chances. said hello. and continue waiting in line for another hour. bought tickets to Mamma Mia. went over the M&M land, bought some m&m's then headed over to carnegie deli for some sandwiches. got take out. headed over to magnolia's to get a mini cheesecake to take back to our hotel. checked in. went up to our rooms and ate our ginormous sandwiches. showered and got ready for mamma mia. headed on over to the broadway. sat down and sang along to almost every song. afterwards headed back to out hotel and called it a night!
